This is one of those paintings that just came forward with no effort at all. What a thrill! The horse is from North Dakota, from a horse farm I visited a few years ago that breeds Palominos. This particular stallion was stunning. It was the sun shining on his face and mane, plus the perfect angle of his head that made me want to paint this.
