Growing up in western Colorado gave artist Kelly D. Donovan a strong foundation for the work he enjoys.

From the time he could pick up a pencil, Kelly has immersed himself in "cowboy art." He began showing his work in galleries at age 15.

"My fascination with the 'Old West' has kindled my desire to keep that period in history alive through my artwork," he says. His extensive research ensures the authenticity in his work.

Donovan was featured in South Art magazine as an emerging artist, and in Western Horseman, American Cowboy and Cowboys and Indians magazines.

Donovan's work can be found in private and corporate collections nationwide and overseas. His collectors include country music personalities such as Gary Chapman, Paul Overstreet, Gary Morris, Mel Tillis, Robert Earl Keen, and Charlie Daniels. His artwork also appeared in the award-winning movie, Sideways.

Kelly is represented by Judith Hale gallery in Los Olivos, California, El Presidio Gallery in Tucson, Arizona, and by Mountain Trails Gallery in Jackson, Wyoming.

He resides in Corinne, Utah, with his wife and five children.
