Doug Nordberg is a 30 year resident of Cody Wyoming. After a 5 year stint in Alaska working in the fishing industry, Doug started designing furniture. "When I left Alaska, I wanted to find a career that allowed me to challenge my self every day. My first choice was to open a snowboarding shop, but art and furniture choose me instead."  As the Cody furniture scene began to grow in the mid 90s, Doug expanded his line from chandeliers to furniture. In 2007, Nordberg Furniture was the recipient of the Switchback Ranch Purchase Award and his piece resides in the Buffalo Bill Historical Center permanent collection. In 2010 Doug opened North Mountain Gallery in Cody featuring other furniture designers from Cody as well as cutting edge designs of his own work.  "Having my own gallery has allowed me to focus on designing pieces for very specific spaces without the pressure of a vigorous production schedule. In his spare time, Doug enjoys spending time snowboarding and being with his family.
