With a background in fine art, Dan MacPhail is dedicated to building heirloom-quality antler furniture.
Dan builds everything with the same attention to detail as he puts into his award-winning antler chairs and Christmas trees.
Dan feels very fortunate to work in a medium he loves and to have the finest customers. He subscribes to the philosophy of Henry David Thoreau, who said, "If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours."
His work features shed antlers from elk, moose, white tail deer, bison and Dall sheep, as well as petrified wood, bristlecone pine wood and Brazilian banded agate.
Dan?s work is featured in Rustic Artistry for the Home, and Cabins and Camps, both by Ralph Kylloe, as well as Contemporary Western Design by Thea Marx.
A regular exhibitor and award-winner at the Western Design Conference in Cody, Wyoming, Dan has one of his large Christmas trees in the permanent collection of the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, also in Cody. He is also a noted member of The Furniture Society.
