I’ve spent much of my life exploring the mountains, forests and deserts of America. My deep appreciation for nature has provided both balance and healing in my life.

The mediums I use vary from highly figured or burled woods, cactus skeletons and driftwood. The pieces I create are designed to accentuate the natural features of the wood, so the design features the wood - not the other way around. The spirit of my work serves as a remembrance and appreciation for the many mysteries of nature.

Most of the material I use is from trees that I reclaim, from storm damage, construction sites, etc which I saw and dry myself; the rest is reclaimed by other ecologically conscious folks.

My other business venture, Historical Woods of America Inc., is squarely focused on the reclamation, salvaging and creative repurposing of trees and timbers from historical sites such as George Washington's Mount Vernon Plantation and many others.
